The Little Organizer

Every once in awhile Chaley (our youngest at 2yrs. old) won't want to go to bed at night. Either she had a late nap and isn't tired or just wants to hang out with mom & dad for a little bit longer. Whatever the reason, we allow her to sit with us in our bed for about 30 minutes because otherwise she'd keep Jace up. She and Jace share a room while the older two girls share a room...which will all change once we get in the new house.

But anyway, last night Chaley wasn't going to sleep and so up into our bed she crept while we sat there watching tv. About a minute later, Jace being the older protective brother that he is walks into the room and says "is Chaley coming to bed.....why is Chaley in there with you guys?" I quickly told him to go back to bed and go to sleep. So, off he walks and I assume he's gone back to his bedroom. Well, after about 30 or 45 minutes I get Chaley to take her back to bed and as I get into the kitchen on my way to their room I see Jace sprint across the living room floor to his bedroom from a sitting position. I yell at him to get in his bed and as I get to the spot where he was sitting I notice a collage of footwear lined up in rows. Apparently the sprawling collection of shoes, slippers and sandals that littered our living room floor distracted him on his way back to bed. Instead of going to sleep, Jace gathered them all and placed them in neat rows next to the couch. To top it off, he did all this in the dark. I guess we have a little organizer!
