So, I shot a Safe Auto commercial today. I initially thought I was cast for an actual part and later found out I was cast as the "Safe Auto Rep" you see at the end of the commercials. Either way I didn't care....I was still getting paid!
I was cast along with 2 other people (a guy & a girl). I was the oldest of the three...the other guy was 24 and the girl looked to be about the same.
The production went well. They had 4 different lines for us to say and they shot each line several times in a close up and a wide shot. Afterwards I had a rather nice lunch on them.
My talent agency had set me up with a hotel to stay in the night before, but I wasn't able to take advantage of it. They had a room for me at the Hampton Inn in the Arena District downtown! However, I had to fulfill my husbandly/fatherly responsibilities and be at home. Looking at the pictures of the hotel online, it was quite nice!!!
So, I don't know when the spots will begin to air, but I'd guess late Summer or Fall of this year.
